Khaleel Yousuf Siddiqui, who is known for uncountable services in poetry, literature, and journalism is currently hospitalized after Cardiac Arrest. He has been prescribed for an open heart surgery after Angiographic examination conducted earlier this week.

MQM Canada condemns the killing of innocent workers of MQM in Karachi  
Communication & Media Cell; Toronto, March 27th 2012; Central organizer MQM Canada Iqbal Qamar, Joint organizers, along with members central organizing committee have strongly condemned the killing of Mansoor Mukhtar and his brother by the arm terrorist of lyari gang war in PIB area of Karachi. Mansoor Mukhtar was a member of the PIB sector in Karachi. In joint statement they expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of Mansoor Mukhtar and said that their grief was equally shared by each worker of the MQM. They prayed for the divine forgiveness of the departed soul and early recovery of the people injured in the terrorist attack. They demanded of the government to quell the wave of terrorism in the city and arrest the terrorist elements involved in the martyrdom of Mansoor Mukhtar and his brother.

MQM Canada had celebrated 23rd March 2012 across Canada with traditional zeal to commemorate the passage of the Lahore Resolution, later called, the Pakistan Resolution, which eventually led to the creation of Pakistan. The grand Pakistan day celebration was held in Markham city which was also attended by MQM Canada, Senators, Local MPS and Councilors along with large number of Pakistani Community.

The voting right for the overseas Pakistanis is the success of the struggle of MQM: MQM Canada
Communication & Media Cell; Toronto, 15th Feb 2012: Central Organizer of MQM Canada Iqbal Qamar and members of central organizing committee have welcomed the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan in which they have granted the right to vote for the overseas Pakistanis in general elections in Pakistan.
They said in their joint statement that the historical decision made by ECP is the result of great efforts by the Federal Minister of Overseas Pakistanis Dr. Farooq Sattar. It is the characteristic of only MQM’s leadership which takes up difficult challenges and continues its struggle until accomplishment. They further said that now the 3.7 millions Pakistanis living abroad will play an active role in Pakistani politics, as they are doing in the economy by contributing over 11 billion dollars per annum.
They congratulated Ex-Pats Pakistanis for getting right to participate in elections and said that this is all because of the struggle of MQM and Federal minister Dr. Farooq Sattar.

Tragedy of East Pakistan "Dhaka Fall" is the darkest chapter of our history – Learning from mistakes not only allows to survive, but also helps to grow – Iqbal Qamar
The tragedy of East Pakistan “The Dhaka Fall” in which we lost more than half of our country, is the darkest chapter of the history of Pakistan. The incident not only took lives of innocent Pakistanis but also caused huge embarrassment for the whole nation; it was said in an official statement issued by Iqbal Qamar, The Central Organizer of MQM Canada. He further said that repeated mistakes, social injustice and discrimination of the ruling elite of the time become the reason of that deprivation. He offered dua for the eternal comfort of the martyrs and said, “Learning a lesson from this tragedy; we should avoid repeating our wrong acts as the nations remain alive only when they learn from their mistakes. He reiterated that following the footsteps of great nations, we should also ensure that the measures we take must fulfill the requisites of social justice. Canadian High Commissioner, Ross Hynes meets with Members of MQM Coordination Committee at Ninezero (Residence of Altaf Hussain and the headquarter of MQM)
They discussed political and economical condition of Pakistan including exchange of thoughts on issues of mutual interest
Krachi November 23, 2011; Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr. Ross Hynes, visited at Ninezero (MQM Headquarter and the residence of Altaf Hussain) and met with Deputy Convener of MQM, Dr. Farooq Sattar. The honorary Consul General of Canada in Karachi, Behram D Avari, was accompanied with him. Members of MQM Coordination Committee, Mrs. Nasreen Jalil, Kunwer Khalid Younus and The Deputy Parliamentary Leader of MQM in the National Assembly of Pakistan, Syed Haider Abbas Rizvi were also present at the occasion. In the meeting, they discussed the political and economical condition of Pakistan as well as exchanged thoughts on various issues of mutual interest. They emphasized on extending friendly relations of both the countries in an hour long meeting.  

Earlier, Members of MQM Coordination Committee warmly welcomed the Canadian delegation at Ninezero. A book "My Life’s Journey" which comprises autobiographical account of the initial struggle of MQM chief Altaf Hussain was also presented to Mr. Hynes.

Central Organizer MQM Canada, Iqbal Qamar, Joint Central Organizers, Office-bearers, workers and supporters joined assemblies with respect to areas. In a joint statement, it was said that “8th October is the saddest day in the history of Pakistan which took thousands of innocent lives in small fraction of the time. Today we are observing 6th anniversary of those innocent victims.” They also added, “We appreciate the role of MQM’s welfare organization KKF and its volunteers who stepped ahead in all rescue and relief activities without any difference as per the teachings of Altaf Hussain”

The event was also attended by Joint Central Organizer, MQM Canada, Masood Hasan and President Kashmiri Canadian Association Raja Ahsan. On behalf of Kashmiri community, Raja Ahsan appreciated the role of MQM and KKF during and after the earthquake and thanked founder and leader of MQM, Altaf Hussain and volunteers of KKF.

I wish to pass our sincere condolence to the family, friends and NDP supporters for this sad and untimely loss. The Canadian politics has indeed been robbed of a genuine and honest politician. We had privilege of meeting with Mr. Layton on several occasions and found him a great human and a loyal political worker. I was very impressed by his hard work and authority on Librarianship. It’s even superfluous to underline how important he has been for the NDPians and Canadian politics and we are all aware that he leaves a great heritage to Canadians, a great human and leadership heritage. MLA AJK Saleem Butt in Canada

Communication & Media Cell, MQM Canada: On a six-day visit to Canada, MQM Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Ex President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Mohammad Saleem Butt arrived at Pearson Airport, Toronto on December 19, 2010. During his excessively occupied visit, he attended several public gatherings and dinners along with interview and Q&A sessions with renowned print and electronic media groups of Canada. Despite of his extremely busy schedule, he spared most of his time in meeting sessions with Pakistanis living in Canada along with exclusive one-to-one and collective discussions with members of MQM Canada and the Kashmiri community living in Canada. Meeting with President Obama’s Advisor on International Economic Affairs:   Communication & Media Cell, MQM Canada; Toronto; May 02, 2010: A high profile delegation of MQM comprising of the Deputy Convener of MQM and Parliamentary Leader of MQM in National Assembly Dr. Farooque Sattar, former Federal Minster and Patron-in-Chief of MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Patron MQM USA and Canada Ibad Rehman, visited white House and met with the President Obama’s Advisor on International Economic Affairs Mr. David Lipton on Sunday the last.

Dr, David Lipton is a senior national security advisor to President Obama on international security affairs. During the 45 minutes meeting, bilateral affairs as well as the effects of international economic crisis on Pakistan, measures to be taken by America for stabilization of Pakistan’s economy, providing access to the Pakistani manufacturers and the products to the American markets, and the economic development of the terror-stricken northern areas of Pakistan were discussed. David Lipton showed great interest in Mr. Altaf Hussain's struggle for the empowerment of the common class of Pakistan and fully agreed to the fact that this would be the only real solution to all problems in Pakistan.
 
 
 
MQM Delegation Meets With Holbrook and Other Officials of State Department in Washington

The Delegation Was Received at the Front Gate of The State Department by Holbrook:   Communication & Media Cell, MQM Canada; Toronto; May 01, 2010: A high profile delegation of MQM comprising of the deputy Convener of MQM and member National Assembly of Pakistan Dr. Farooque Sattar met with the State Department’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrook and other high ranking officials of the State Department today in Washington. The delegation was received at the front gate of the central office of the State Department by Richard Holbrook and the other officials.

In an hour long meeting, talking on affairs of mutual interest, internal and external threats to Pakistan, economic and financial situation of Pakistan, shortage of water and electricity in Pakistan, and many other issues pertaining to Pakistan, Dr. Farooque Sattar said that apart from the American cooperation in the resolution of these issues, the financial and economic situation of Pakistan can be helped with increased trade with Pakistan and access of Pakistani products and trade to the international markets. While elaborating on the importance of Pakistanis in America, Dr. Farooque Sattar said that one hand these responsible Pakistani American are participating in strengthening the American economy and on the other hand they are supporting Pakistani economy from here.

Richard Holbrook and the other officials endorsed MQM’s Middle Order Government philosophy and said that the solution to the existing problems of Pakistan is hidden in this philosophy and the rule of the middle class can take Pakistan to the route of prosperity.
