Tragedy of East Pakistan "Dhaka Fall" is the darkest chapter of our history –
Learning from mistakes not only allows to survive, but also
helps to grow – Iqbal Qamar |
|
The tragedy of East Pakistan “The Dhaka Fall” in which we lost more than half
of our country, is the darkest chapter of the history of Pakistan. The incident not
only took lives of innocent Pakistanis but also caused huge embarrassment for the
whole nation; it was said in an official statement issued by Iqbal Qamar, The Central
Organizer of MQM Canada. He further said that repeated mistakes, social injustice and
discrimination of the ruling elite of the time become the reason of that deprivation.
He offered dua for the eternal comfort of the martyrs and said, “Learning a lesson from
this tragedy; we should avoid repeating our wrong acts as the nations remain alive only
when they learn from their mistakes. He reiterated that following the footsteps of great
nations, we should also ensure that the measures we take must fulfill the requisites of
social justice. It is essential for the national unity, stability and the prosperity of Pakistan. |

aware that he leaves a great heritage to Canadians, a great human and leadership heritage. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Layton.
He will be long remembered in Canada. (Iqbal Qamar, Central Organizer, MQM Canada) ...
