67th Independence Day of Pakistan
A graceful flag raising ceremony organized by Pakistan APNA Club, Montreal
 
 
 
 
Communication & Media Cell, Montreal, August 14th, 2014: History relived this year again in West Island with the raising of Pakistani Flag, conceptualized and organized by Pakistan Apna Club Montreal. The event was highly dignified and gracefully done. MP Lysane Blanchette Lamothe-Pierrefonds-Dollard, Mayor Domitrios Jim Beis-Pierrefonds-Roxboro, Mayor Alan DeSousa-Ville Saint Laurent, Councillor Alex Bottausci, Councillor Errol Johnson and Madam Daniela Chivu (Rep. of the National Council of Women of Canada to the UNCSW) graced the event with their presence and speeches.

Dr. Kaleem Ullah started the event by inviting Mr. Akmal Khan for recitation of Quran-e-Kareem. After recitation Dr. Kaleem Ullah shortly briefed guests about Pakistan Apna Club and about the Pakistan Independence Day. Then the Pakistani & Canadian National Anthems were played and the Pakistani Flag was raised by the Dignitaries and Guests at the Flag post. Those moments were very historical and touched the hearts of all the Guests and rejuvenated the true Pakistani Spirit and ownership. Pakistani National songs were played and a group of guests with Mrs. Tabassum Anwar sang the Pakistani national songs. Rich Tributes were paid to Dr. Matlub Hussain and some members of the community were acknowledged their Services with the Appreciation Certificates awarded by the Dignitaries.

All respected Guests and Notables of the communities who attended the ceremony applaud the organizers for their sincere and tireless work to make the event so successful and wish them well for all the events in future. Mr. Bashir Hussain, Mr. Anwar Ali, Mr. Nadeem Rehman, Mr. Aqeel Ahmed organized everything at the venue Rest. Tandoor & Grille very well.

Organizers appreciated all the guests and the people who supported the event and a very special Note of Thanks to the Media personals who came, participated and covered the event. Variety of refreshments was served and then Dinner was culminated from Rest. Karachi Lasani which was sponsored by Mr. Paramjit Kainth of Real Trucking & Mr. Tajinder Kainth of Adresz Realities.
