Communication & Media Cell, MQM CANADA; Toronto; September 18, 2011: The Central Organizer of MQM Canada Iqbal Qamar said that the martyrdom of Dr. Imran Farooq and MQM martyrs would not be forgotten and the struggle would definitely come to success. He was speaking to a gathering at the First Death Anniversary of Shaheed-e-Inquilab Dr. Imran Farooq in Mississaugaa organised by GTA Chapter of MQM. Along with Central Organizer, Members of Central Organizing Committee, Chapter In charge for GTA, Sub-unit In charges, Office-bearers and supporters of MQM Canada attended the program. The First Death Anniversary of Martyr of Revolution Dr. Imran Farooq was observed by all active chapters of MQM throughout Canada. The gathering sent their prayers and condolence to Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain, widow and family of Dr. Imran Farooq, workers and sympathizers of MQM across the globe. Recitation of Holy Quran and Fateha was performed for the blessing of the soul of Shaheed Imran Farooq. Rich and glowing tributes were paid to Shaheed-e-Inquilab as well as the martyrs of MQM for their services to the movement. During the program, participant’s watched recoded speech of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain for the Barsi and two videos prepared by IT Wing of MQM Canada; Karachi massacre during operation 1992 and after and Shaheed-e-Inquilab Dr. Imran Farooq (1960-2010). Earlier, it was arranged to recite “Astagfar” and to pray to Allah to seek forgiveness for the victims of target killings, floods, and Dengue fever in Pakistan. The event culminated at the dinner.
